Houhai Bars
Houhai area bars are not downtown but are worth the trip. This area is a lot of what is left of the traditional style hutong's in Beijing. Haidian has been able to keep it's hutong's by renovating them into commercial outlets for tourists. Many small bars line the winding streets overlooking the canals that run through the area. A great place to relax and people watch. Definately worth a look.
