Sanlitun Bars
Sanlitun is bar central in Beijing. Sanlitun Rd. is the originally designated road and the road the local government had hoped would be the bar area. There certainly are bars there, but not the type that attract foreigners. Sanlitun South (nan) Rd. is a small and winding road in a low level area. To the local goverments chagrin it has become the quintessential bar street and seemingly will remain so even after countless motions by the local government to have it relocated.
